A journey of inquiry

Engineering the outer world.
Exploring the inner one.

Prabha Karan is a mechanical engineer, entrepreneur, author and long-time student of Vedanta whose work explores some of the fundamental questions at the intersection of science, philosophy and human existence.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, and began his professional career with the Emerson Group in Chennai, gaining early experience in engineering, industrial systems and international business.

He later moved to Dubai, where his professional journey continued alongside a growing interest in the deeper questions of causality, creation, human personality and Consciousness. This inquiry eventually led him to the Vedanta Academy, where he undertook a systematic study of Vedantic philosophy.

The Intellect.
A central theme.

A central theme in Prabha’s study and propagation has been the importance of the Intellect: the faculty of discrimination, reasoning and independent inquiry that enables an individual to examine life objectively rather than merely accept inherited beliefs or conditioned patterns of thought.

Who Banged the Big Bang!

His flagship work, Who Banged the Big Bang!, emerged from more than two decades of inquiry into Causality, Creation, the Infinite, Consciousness and the nature of existence. The book asks whether tracing the universe back to the Big Bang truly answers the question of origin, or whether scientific inquiry eventually reaches deeper questions concerning cause, Infinity and Consciousness.

Prabha seeks to encourage scientists and scientifically oriented thinkers to extend the same spirit of objective inquiry used in exploring the macrocosm and microcosm toward the investigator himself.

Who Banged the Big Bang! became a #1 Amazon bestseller in the Astronomy category.

Karma Yoga in action.

As an expression of Karma Yoga, Prabha founded Valtronics in Dubai in 2005, developing it into an international industrial valve and flow-control business. He subsequently acquired Valvulas FEVISA in Spain, expanding the group into European manufacturing, engineering and valve automation.

Having established an experienced management structure, he has progressively stepped away from day-to-day business operations to devote greater attention to writing, study and the propagation of Vedantic thought.

Science, Consciousness
and the investigator.

Prabha now focuses primarily on Vedantic study, writing and public speaking, with particular interest in engaging scientists, researchers and intellectually curious audiences in a reasoned exploration of the universe, Consciousness, the Infinite and the role of the Intellect in understanding both the world and oneself.

Inquiry

A continuing purpose

Vedantic study, three books and a commitment to thoughtful public conversation.

To question thoughtfully, strengthen the Intellect, and turn inquiry inward as earnestly as we turn it toward the universe.
